PAH-FEST: Mobitel festival within the festival
Christopher Coppola is coming to Isola Cinema to carry out his PAH-FEST workshop - a web film festival within the festival.PAH-FEST is a new form of a digital media festival, which focuses on stories and voices of common people. PAH-FEST enables them to tell their stories using professional film equipment. All the films, created during this festival will be available online on www.earsxxi.com.
In Coppola's opinion the purpose of PAH-FEST is to pull Hollywood off its pedestal in make film production accessible to everyone: » I'd like to see how a plumber, a fisherman or a cab driver makes a 1-minute art work using only his cell phone digital camera.«

The Lighthouse beach
24 hours of cinematic merrymaking on the beach with creative workshops, film market, black kitchen, music and street art performances. In creating this special atmosphere we cooperate with Izola Students' Club (KIŠD). This years' PAH-FEST (see above) will also take place here.
This year Multimedia center PINA will set up a free Wi-Fi area and transform the lighthouse beach into a cyberbeach, while ITAK! lounge offers a secluded spot for chill-outs!
Folktale storytelling
A folktale radio serial Za 2 grosa fantazije is coming to Izola to tell folktales from around the world to Isola Cinema visitors! Where: The lighthouse beach. When: Saturday June 2nd at 20.00!
Scriptwriting workshop: pokaži jezik!
Pokaži jezik is a specialized scriptwritting school which has been active for the past ten years, helping writers transform their ideas and stories into successful scripts. On Isola Cinema 2007 they will create an intensive two-day workshop on the subject. Established advisors will help the participants to mold their thought into a film language and to get acquainted with basic rules of thumb of scriptwriting. Included is a presentation of one of the most important books on scriptwrittin, The Story by Robert McKee. Best products of previous years' workshops will also be presented.
Advisors are: Ana Lasić, Miha Mazzini, Matevž Luzar and Zdravko Duša.
The lectures are free for all Isola Cinema visitors.
Cinema Stadium
Long story short: each year the festival crew challenges all our guests to a soccer match. Needless to say, this match is a unique mix of competition and solidarity, which coexist in Izola! This year we've even gone international!
Youth Jury
Youth Jury is a group of high-school students which analyses films and thinks about cinematography under an expert guidance. What we would like to achieve is to make high school students think critically about film and to enable them to see film production beyond blockbuster entertainment. We feel this is at least a step in the direction to compensate for the systematic neglect of film art in contemporary Slovene system of education. The Youth Jury will announce its winning film which will be screened one more time on a special projection at the end of the festival.
