Full or Empty (Gol ya puch), Abolfazl Jalili, IRAN, 2005, 98' A young man arrives at a remote Iranian village in the search of a teaching position and a wife. After successfully completing his studies, he is convinced of the legitimacy of his claims and starts knocking at villagers’ doors. But they have different plans for the newcomer. PARIS.LOVE, Boris Petkovič, FRANCIJA/SLOVENIJA, 2007, 73' Vince is a 24 year old American living in Paris and trying to become an actor. His bad accent in French is making him fail all his auditions. Nevertheless, a couple of things keep him going: work as a tourist guide of famous film locations and a small part in an obscure »avant-garde« theater play. One day he meets Zoe, a 23 year old French student. A romance blossoms despite the clash of cultures and different lifestyles. Vince constantly surprises Zoe with his life philosophy as does Zoe with French cultural particularities.
