Isola Cinema Photo Contest

Izola is an island - an island by its name, its history and by the name of the festival it shelters through the years. To shelter Isola Cinema is to harbour images, often ignored and pushed aside because they stand their ground in their bold depictions of the good and the bad, of heaven and hell. Together, both constituents of this cinema make it priceless. And this makes Izola, a safe haven of such gazes, priceless as well.

Izola attracts through its Mediterranean traditions, weaved into its people and its culture - and what's more, this particular well cannot be drained. Its narrow cobblestone streets, its parks and the seagulls above the horizon remain here for everyone to see.
