Ivan Martinac was born in March 1938, in Split. He attended primary and secondary school in Split (1944–1955), Department of Architecture at the Faculty of Architecture in Zagreb (1955–1958), and Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade (1958–1961), where he graduated. In October 1960, he started a two-year study at the Centre for Professional Education of Film Workers, where he graduated in June 1962, just before the centre was closed. In 1958, he started writing poems and screenplays, in 1959 he started editing, and in 1960 directing. He made 71 short meters and one long meter (The House on the Sand / Kuća na pijesku, 1984–1985), and published 12 books.
In collaboration with the Croatian Film Association. Films will be presented by curator Diana Nenadić.
