PRO KUS: Transfer of skills and knowledge for professionalization in the cultural and creative sectors

Otok Institute is a partner in PRO KUS consortium, committed to more stable conditions for cultural production and the professionalization of the cultural and creative sectors. The purpose of the consortium is to train and empower representatives of Slovenian cultural sector (KUS) for competent operation in the national and international territory.

PROFESSIONALIZATION of KUS = professional training + internationalization + decentralization

The PRO KUS consortium in the next 5 years aims to:

  • Establish an ecosystem that will contribute to the development and professionalisation of Slovenian KUS by supporting Slovenian artists, experts in KUS and the accessibility of European content.
  • To become a national reference point for international mobility and international integration in KUS.
  • To become a strategic partner and interlocutor in the preparation of strategies in the field of culture or. international cooperation in culture, namely at local or regional (Coast, North Primorska) and national level.

Individual activities within the consortium will be published on the partners’ websites.

Otok Institute will, in close cooperation with partners and associated partners, provide:

– knowledge transfer in the field of sector professionalisation (focus on the AV sector),

– accessibility of program content outside the center (outside Ljubljana),

– participation in professional activities in the field of international cooperation,

– information and cooperation with the media,

– informing and cooperating with decision-makers.
