20 May Two presentations of the Young4Film festival network in Italy in March
For more than a year now, the European film festival network Young Programmers for Young Audiences! or Young4Film for short, coordinated by Kino Otok – Isola Cinema, has been active. Together with four partner festivals from Croatia, Italy, Lithuania and Serbia, we actively involve young people in film programming.
Europe, Now! Film Industry Meetings, the film industry days at Bergamo Film Meeting, one of Italy’s most important film festivals, on Tuesday 12 March 2024, will highlight three European festival networks, including Young4Film, as examples of good practice in audience development.
From 19 to 22 March 2024, Milano will host the annual meeting of representatives of all the Young4Film partners, including, in addition to Kino Otok – Isola Cinema, the Lithuanian Short Film Festival from Vilnius, the Beldocs International Documentary Film Festival from Serbia, the Cinehill (formerly Motovun) Festival from Croatia and the Piccolo Grande Cinema Film Festival from Milano. The latter is hosting the CinemaSarà Forum, the Italian national student consultation on the future of film and cinema, on the very days of the Festival Network meeting. The consultation will be joined by representatives of the Young Programmers from Italy, Lithuania, Slovenia and Serbia. There will aslo be a public presentation of the activities of the Young4Film European Festival Network at the Interactive film museum (Museo Interattivo del Cinema) on 21 March 2024.
