The filmmaking marathon 6*60 - Premio Collio Cinema coming up!

May 21-23, 2010: these are the dates of 6*60 - Premio Collio Cinema, the filmmaking marathon organized as usual by Gorizia’s cultural association Makin’GO, in collaboration with Crea Laboratory - Dams Cinema of the University of Udine. In the last edition of the Kino Otok – Isola Cinemas Video on the beach we showed the best short films of the last three editions of Makin'GO 6 * 60
May 21-23, 2010: these are the dates of 6*60 - Premio Collio Cinema, the filmmaking marathon organized as usual by Gorizia’s cultural association Makin’GO, in collaboration with Crea Laboratory - Dams Cinema of the University of Udine. In the last edition of the Kino Otok – Isola Cinemas Video on the beach we showed the best short films of the last three editions of Makin'GO 6 * 60
For those interested, we announce that the advance, compared to the traditional summer period, is not the only novelty of this 4th edition: the most relevant one is the new born partnership with such a prestigious representative of our territory as the Consorzio tutela vini Collio e Carso, which becomes main sponsor of the event along with Transmedia spa and with the contribution of the chamber of commerce of Gorizia. Contextually the money prize grows, increasing from last year’s by 50%: an impressive 7,500 euro are at stake, then, divided as follows:
1st place: 5,000 € / Premio Collio Cinema;
2nd place: 2,000 € / Premio Palazzo del Cinema / Hiša Filma;
3rd place: 500 € / Premio Visioni a tutto campo.
And if every crew still has 60 hours at disposal to realize its short movie, the minimum threshold of duration gets removed: so the 6-minute one remains only as an upper limit, not to exaggerate in caging the filmmakers' creativity. As usual, each movie will have to respect some constraints, referred to its style and/or content and revealed only at the marathon’ start, in order to guarantee the workss’ originality.
So the marathon-runners rendez-vous is scheduled for the morning of Friday, May 21, the start being set at 10.00 a.m. from the Golf & Country Club "Castello di Spessa" in Capriva del Friuli (via Spessa 14); the end, with gathering places in all and 4 provincial capitals of Friuli Venezia Giulia, within 10.00 p.m., Sunday 23. Then the event will reach the top on Friday, June 11, when the screenings and the award ceremony will take place at the Kinemax Gorizia.
