Tony Tramontana will get you moving with funk and disco rhythms in his appearance representing NOR, a newly created independent community radio that aims to reach beyond the conventional.

Jimmy Barka Experience/ Festival JEFF
Jimmy Barka Experience produce an eclectic fusion of electronic and analogue sounds, with an ever sophisticated, appealing outcome. DJs Borka and Bakto and percussionist Marjan Stanić will perform music from their newly released album Stolen Beats.

Pantaloons & Dormiotti/ Festival JEFF
Pantaloons is an analogue three-member band serving up a spirited mix of broken beat, dubstep and funk. Its members include David Nik Lipovac on brutalised drums, Luka Belič on infallible tenor saxophone, and Aljaž Markežič on anchoring tuba.
Dormiotti is a brand-new band consisting of stagers Čunfa and Eros, who spend some of their Wednesday mornings spinning vinyl at NOR. At Otok, rather than waking you up they will gently bid you goodnight.

Jahklin Selecta (Jamcoast)/ NOR
Jahklin Selecta will wrap up the festival with a selection of vinyl records featuring reggae, dub, soul and similarly catchy beats.
Organised by Otok in collaboration with the NOR independent community radio (www.noradio.org) and JEFF music festival (www.ksok.si), whose teams have produced the line-up.

Human Library
Slovene Philanthropy’s project 4ALL is aimed at recognising and tackling discrimination in all areas of life. Human Library is an opportunity to hear first-hand accounts of individuals who have experienced or witnessed discrimination based on their religion, beliefs, skin colour, sexual orientation, or for being members of a particular social group.

5.–9. 6., Salsaverde Gallery, Gramscijeva 4
Exhibition by University of Nova Gorica School of Arts
The exhibition features works by students of the School of Arts, University of Nova Gorica, made as part of two workshops in the study course Contemporary Art Practices (Prof Rene Rusjan) with guest instructors Jan Cvitkovič (6 short films) and Valerie Wolf Gang (Experimental form: a space created by the moving image for the spectator to enter).

Early Works – Exhibition celebrating 50 years of filmmaking by Želimir Žilnik
Žilnik, one of the leading figures of European, Yugoslav and Serbian cinema and a very prolific filmmaker, is quite possibly the most frequent guest at the Isola Cinema festival. Using photography and press reports, the exhibition sheds light on Žilnik’s early works.
On Saturday and Sunday, 8 and 9 June, at 5 pm, his Early Works (1969) will be shown at the gallery. A cult and classic film, this is a comical yet tragic story of a group of Marxist revolutionaries who hope to rouse their fellow citizens across rural Serbia from their socialist slumber.

Treasure trove of sea and fishing tales from Izola
The newly renovated museum is dedicated to the history of Izola, emphasising its maritime and seaside character through documentary photographs, videos and artefacts, as well as a VR presentation. Visitors can learn about ship model building, the history of fishing in Izola, and boat restoration from short documentaries made as part of a project co-funded from the Interreg Slovenia-Croatia programme.

Permanent exhibition by Sandra Kocjančič
Local artist Sandra Kocjančič challenges the boundaries of jewellery design by crocheting with wire. In her work, she uses silver, gold, copper, precious and decorative stones, as well as waste and other materials.
